       Owners Judy and Joe Steele met while at college right here in Williamsburg at the College of William and Mary. Fresh from graduation they took over an ailing local furniture store in 1975 and turned it into a profitable business that could weather some of the most turbulent storms the furniture industry has ever seen.
       Our reputation continued to grow across the country as a best-of-both-worlds situation; we sold the finest high-end furniture and had a creative, knowledgeable staff, but at the same time offered substantial discounts every day.
        In 1995 we became one of the first furniture retailers to appear on the Web, offering our many out-of-state customers a chance to shop from home. As our Internet business and store continue to grow, we have remained as dedicated as ever to customer service and to helping you make your house a home.
